‘Stop Being Such a Child’ : Wife Dramatically Ruins Family New Year’s Party After Eavesdropping on Husband’s Private Conversation With Guests About Her Food

Family occasions always seem to always end in drama… because they know how to best push our buttons. Plus, they're really rude. Even though Christmas and New Year's were a lot of fun, we're lowkey glad that they're over. After coming back to work from the holidays, we heard a thing or two in the office… in fact, the second we made our entrance, the first thing we saw was everybody huddled together, exchanging their frustration with one another.

 

So it comes as no surprise that Reddit is full of drama since the holidays. While scrolling through r/AITA we happened across a post written by someone who was clearly very offended by her husband at a family New Year's party. We kinda get it, to be honest.     Font - went home. This caused NYE to get ruined and he argued with me later saying this was just some guy talk I wasn't supposed to hear and that I acted childishly and ruined the party for him, his family, and more importantly his sick dad. He told me to stop being such a princess and that I was wrong to hear their "private" convo, let alone overreact like that.

    Font - OP reacted in a very immature way. I would have waited until after the party, then attempt to communicate how hurt and disappointing his behavior was, how I thought I knew him better and that I was surprised to learn he thought so little of me. Then go from there. She only wanted to make a scene so that everybody would know he did something. The theatrics were unnecessary.
